Share Purchase Power of Attorney

Authorise a representative to buy shares for you within terms you set.

Buy shares through a trusted representative

Buying shares means signing transfer documents and updating company records. If you are overseas, a Power of Attorney can let a representative complete this for you.

We recommend fixing the target company, number of shares and maximum price in the document so the representative cannot go beyond the deal.

What you will need to start

  • Passport and ID of the buyer
  • Details of the target company and seller
  • Agreed terms
  • Details of the representative

What the document can cover

The powers are set to the task you actually need done. Anything not listed is not given.

  • Signing the purchase agreement
  • Paying within the price you set
  • Amending the licence and records
  • Receiving the share certificate

How the process works

  1. Collect the deal terms. We note the target company, the shares to be bought and the agreed terms.
  2. Set the limits. We fix the company, the number of shares and a maximum price in the document.
  3. Draft and review. We prepare the document and send it to you for approval.
  4. Notarise. You sign before a notary public with original identity documents.
  5. Translate, attest and deliver. If you sign abroad, we arrange translation and attestation, then give the finished original to your representative.

What to check before you sign

  • A price ceiling is written
  • The company and shares are named exactly
  • Who holds the shares afterwards
  • The authority ends with the purchase
