Land Title Transfer Power of Attorney

Register or transfer land and property title through an attorney, with the property described as the registry records it.

When you cannot attend the registration yourself

Land and property transfers involve strict documents. If you are abroad, unwell or simply unable to attend, a Power of Attorney lets a trusted person complete the registration for you.

The weak point is nearly always the description of the property. If the plot number, area or ownership details do not match the registry, the transfer stops. We build the document from your title documents so the powers and the description line up.

What you will need to start

  • Passport and Emirates ID of the owner or buyer
  • Title deed or ownership documents for the property
  • Passport or ID details of the attorney
  • Details of the buyer or seller, if the transfer is a sale
  • Any developer, bank or mortgage details that apply

What the document can cover

The powers are set to the transaction you intend to complete.

  • Registering land or a property in your name
  • Transferring title to a buyer, family member or company
  • Signing sale documents and receiving funds, where you allow it
  • Settling or releasing a mortgage on the property
  • Dealing with a developer or the registry on your behalf

How the process works

  1. Check the title documents. We review your title deed and ownership details so the property is described exactly as the registry records it.
  2. Confirm the transaction. We note whether this is a sale, a gift, a transfer to a company or a first registration, and who the other party is.
  3. Draft the powers. We set what the attorney may sign, and whether they may receive or pay money or deal with a mortgage.
  4. Notarise. The owner or buyer signs before a notary public with original identity documents. If you are abroad, we arrange the route that fits your country.
  5. Translate, attest and present. Where needed we handle certified translation and attestation so the document is ready for the registry.

What to check before you sign

  • The property description matches the title deed exactly.
  • The attorney is allowed to receive or pay money only if you intend that.
  • The document is dated close to the transaction, as some offices prefer recent documents.
  • You have a plan to revoke the authority once the transfer is complete.
